Materials Supervisor (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Lead first-shift materials operations, including receiving, inspection, internal material flow, line-side presentation, end-of-line picking, packing, shipping, and intra-plant deliveries.
• Manage daily warehousing activities such as staging, storage, replenishment, supermarket sizing, order picking, and cycle counting.
• Develop and implement standard processes and strategies that improve production efficiency, delivery performance, and material handling.
• Improve inventory management practices, including transaction accuracy, barcoding, RFID, cycle-count accuracy, and fill rate.
• Coordinate with Quality, Purchasing, Planning, and Production to resolve customer quality and delivery issues and maintain uninterrupted material movement.
• Lead, coach, train, and develop materials staff while balancing staffing levels with workload and performance priorities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• At least two years of materials leadership experience.
• At least two years of experience leading teams, developing people, or organizing tasks.
• Experience overseeing inventory management, inventory control, accuracy, and established inventory procedures.
• Ability to work onsite in a manufacturing environment and comply with facility PPE and safety requirements.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and frequently lift or move up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds with assistance.

Nice to have

• Experience with SAP or another ERP system such as Oracle, JD Edwards, or Microsoft Dynamics.
• Microsoft Office experience.
• Formal leadership or team-development training.
