US Procurement Manager (Chemical Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Manage and coordinate the U.S. procurement team, including goal setting, KPI management, coaching, recruitment, and performance evaluation.
• Develop sourcing strategies for raw materials, technical materials, plant services, logistics, and other procurement categories.
• Lead supplier reviews, RFQs, negotiations, benchmarking, market analysis, and renegotiations to control costs and protect margins.
• Coordinate with business, operations, maintenance, and supply chain functions to secure timely deliveries and prevent stockouts or unplanned downtime.
• Oversee supplier contracts and review indemnification, liability, insurance, warranties, guarantees, and legal remedies.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with SHE requirements, hazardous materials rules, regulations, internal governance, and delegation of authority.

Requirements

• 15+ years of front-line procurement experience in the chemical industry.
• Experience leading teams in a diverse working environment and demonstrated supervisory skills.
• Deep procurement and procurement management knowledge, with strong commercial and cost analysis skills.
• Advanced negotiation skills and knowledge of contract law, ABC regulations, accounting principles, and chemical manufacturing processes.
• Fluent English required.
• Degree in engineering preferred, or another master’s degree; proficiency with MS Office and SAP.
