Buyer (Supply Chain)

What you will do

• Plan and procure direct, indirect, and CAPEX materials supporting factory operations.
• Manage inventory levels, material requirements, MRP exception messages, and future demand trends.
• Issue, expedite, reschedule, and monitor purchase orders, including vendor acknowledgements and past-due order lines.
• Maintain purchasing-related material master data in the ERP system and coordinate with Accounting on documentation, costs, and invoice discrepancies.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Production Planning, Sales, Service, Warehouse, Engineering, suppliers, and internal customers.
• Support non-conformity and warranty processes, product lifecycle activities, new product introductions, phase-outs, and assigned projects.

Requirements

• Associate or bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, supply chain management, operations management, logistics, business administration, finance, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in purchasing, production planning, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Familiarity with purchasing processes, financial reporting, manufacturing cost systems, and MRP.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and strong knowledge of SAP is highly desired.
• Strong communication, organization, prioritization, problem-solving, and independent working skills.
• Cross-cultural sensitivity and the ability to maintain professional relationships with suppliers, customers, and coworkers.

Nice to have

• Experience in a technical engineering environment, especially engineered-to-order operations.
