Sr Director Finance, Filler Metals

Location: Denton, Texas, USA, or Bethesda, Maryland, USA. On-site manufacturing and plant visits are required, with approximately 25% domestic travel.

What you will do

• Own the full P&L for the approximately $400M Filler Metals manufacturing business, including revenue, margin, conversion costs, and SG&A.
• Partner with plant, operations, commercial, and executive leaders on pricing, product mix, capacity, investment, profitability, and growth decisions.
• Lead standard costing, manufacturing variance analysis, inventory management, cost-out initiatives, productivity tracking, and capital project evaluation.
• Own monthly, quarterly, and annual close, FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, KPI reporting, and EBITDA improvement initiatives.
• Act as the lead finance stakeholder for ERP implementation, supporting data migration, process design, reporting, and finance-team readiness.
• Build and develop a finance team including site controllers and FP&A analysts, while standardizing governance and reporting processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
• 10+ years of progressive finance leadership experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment, including plant or site-level finance ownership.
• Experience owning a full P&L and partnering strategically with operations and commercial leadership.
• Strong experience with standard costing, manufacturing variance analysis, conversion cost management, FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, and monthly close.
• Experience supporting or leading ERP implementations; SAP experience is preferred.
• Strong communication skills and executive presence, with the ability to influence plant, commercial, and senior leadership stakeholders.
