Director, Finance FP&A

Location: Cedar Rapids, Iowa, United States; hybrid attendance in the office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays

Salary: $159,000–$200,000 annually, plus potential annual bonus

What you will do

• Lead an FP&A team responsible for capital and regulatory reporting, forecast coordination, and management reporting.
• Oversee capital-related reporting packages for senior management, governance committees, and other stakeholders.
• Provide subject-matter expertise on capital, statutory, management, and forecast reporting.
• Partner with Financial Reporting, Actuarial, Risk, Treasury, Tax, Investments, business units, and FP&A teams.
• Lead process improvements, system implementations, and changes to reporting and forecasting processes.
• Develop team talent through coaching, feedback, prioritization, performance reviews, and succession planning.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent experience.
• At least 12 years of accounting or finance experience, including eight years of management experience.
• Extensive knowledge of the assigned business area and strong leadership and people-management skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences in writing and verbally.
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, Excel, and financial business systems.

Nice to have

• CPA certification or an advanced degree.
• Knowledge of life insurance, annuities, statutory reporting, regulatory capital frameworks, and management reporting.
• Knowledge of NAIC Risk Based Capital requirements and Bermuda regulatory reporting.
• Experience with Oracle ERP planning and forecasting.
• Experience presenting financial, capital, or regulatory reporting analysis to senior leadership or governance audiences.
