Senior Electrical Engineer (Embedded Systems)

Location: Hybrid role based in Kohler, Wisconsin, with on-site work required three days per week. Open to relocation.

Salary: $113,000–$143,950 per year

What you will do

• Lead the development, calibration, implementation, and release of control software for engine fuel injection and electronic control systems.
• Lead electrical project teams working on fuel injection, electronic governor controls, diagnostics, and engine control systems.
• Develop software, models, custom features, and simulations using MATLAB, Simulink, Stateflow, and C++.
• Define and execute software verification plans, test procedures, test environments, and Hardware-in-the-Loop systems.
• Integrate software with existing systems and electronic controller suppliers, perform functional testing, troubleshoot issues, and tune system performance.
• Identify technical risks, apply appropriate development and testing tools, document functionality, and deliver projects on schedule, cost, performance, and quality targets.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering with an emphasis on embedded system development and implementation.
• At least 8 years of software development, management, and implementation experience in automotive, powertrain, commercial vehicle, or similar applications.
• At least 4 years of MATLAB, Simulink, and Stateflow experience in modeling, simulation, and analysis.
• Experience with electronic test equipment, including oscilloscopes and meters, plus compilers and emulators.
• Knowledge of engine controls, electronic drivers, sensors, components, Software-in-the-Loop or Model-in-the-Loop validation, and J1939 or similar CAN bus standards.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice to have

• TargetLink experience.
• ASCET/INCA, MotoHawk/Mototune, or similar platform experience.
• Verification and validation experience with RTRT, Tessy, Python, CAPL, or similar tools.
