Senior Control Systems Engineer (Automotive)

Location: Dodge Center, Minnesota, United States; the role combines office work with physical duties in field and production environments.

Pay range: $73,200–$117,800 per year.

What you will do

• Research, develop, verify, validate, test, and implement advanced vehicle control systems and telematics.
• Contribute to technology programs covering autonomy, active safety, electrification, and advanced connectivity.
• Define project requirements, resources, estimates, test plans, and milestones.
• Develop control strategies in virtual simulation environments and bench-test vehicle simulators, then transfer them to vehicle testing and production.
• Collaborate with internal and external teams, vendors, industry consortiums, and universities.
• Support feasibility studies, budgets, timelines, funding proposals, and engineering design teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering and 3+ years of related experience, or a master’s degree and 1+ years of related experience.
• Experience with advanced control systems research, development, testing, or production implementation.
• Ability to work across office, field, and production environments, including occasional walking, standing, moderate lifting, and exposure to noise or varying temperatures.
• For certain positions, applicants may need to qualify as a U.S. Person under applicable export-control regulations.

Nice to have

• Automotive or heavy-duty vehicle experience with vehicle telematics.
• Experience with automotive or heavy-duty vehicle CAN bus and architecture.
• Embedded software development experience using C, C++, C#, or Python.
