Software Engineer III (Embedded Automotive Software)

What you will do

• Design, implement, integrate, and document real-time embedded software in C/C++ and MATLAB-autogenerated code.
• Develop vehicle-level designs and provide feedback on system requirements for on-vehicle applications.
• Implement advanced vehicle control strategies using embedded software and model-based development tools.
• Develop and validate control strategies in MATLAB/Simulink, Stateflow, AMESIM, and hardware-in-the-loop simulation environments.
• Support prototype, pilot, production, testing, verification, and validation activities, including travel to off-site locations when required.
• Lead feasibility studies, project estimates, technical proposals, and provide guidance to entry-level engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
• Five or more years of related experience.
• Experience with embedded C/C++ software development and vehicle-level engineering.
• Ability to work with real-time operating systems, embedded systems, version control, configuration management, verification and validation, and CI/CD.
• Ability to design software meeting functionality, memory utilization, performance, and maintainability requirements.
• Knowledge of UML, CMMI Level 3 processes, and technical documentation.

Nice to have

• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
• Familiarity with JavaScript, JSON, Python, and SQL databases.
• Experience with AUTOSAR, IoT, edge computing, architecture virtualization, open-source tools, and DevOps.
