Senior Process Engineer (Capital Projects)

What you will do

• Lead process engineering and technical stewardship for capital projects, reliability improvements, and operational enhancements from FEL1 through commissioning.
• Develop heat and material balances, process simulations, equipment specifications, PFDs, P&IDs, hydraulic calculations, control narratives, and safeguarding documentation.
• Provide process safety leadership through HAZOP, LOPA, SIL determination, facility siting, relief-system design, and Management of Change.
• Lead frontend engineering, option evaluation, value improvement, design-basis development, and contractor deliverable QA/QC across FEL1–FEL3.
• Resolve cross-discipline design issues and support construction, pre-commissioning, commissioning, startup, troubleshooting, and performance testing.
• Review field deviations, redlines, as-built documentation, and project close-out deliverables.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering.
• 7–10+ years of process engineering experience in petrochemicals, refining, or polymers.
• Owner’s-team experience supporting stage-gated capital projects from FEL1 through Execute.
• Experience delivering process engineering for both small and major capital projects.
• Proficiency with Aspen Plus or HYSYS and expertise in equipment sizing, hydraulics, relief systems, safeguarding/SIS, and process control philosophies.
• Working knowledge of API, ASME, ANSI, NFPA, PIP, OSHA, ISA, and company engineering standards, along with strong QA/QC and document control discipline.
