Process Engineer (Chemical Manufacturing)

Location: Pasadena, Texas, United States; onsite at the Pasadena plant

What you will do

• Develop and implement process engineering strategies, process improvement plans, and five-year capital plans.
• Manage the integrity of assigned equipment, protective systems, operating envelopes, inspection plans, and unit health monitoring programs.
• Write and implement Management of Change documentation for small and large capital projects and support process safety reviews and PHAs.
• Work with Operations and Maintenance to troubleshoot process issues, investigate incidents, lead root cause analyses, and support safe and efficient plant operations.
• Monitor yields, production, feedstock data, catalyst performance, KPIs, process bottlenecks, and long-term operating trends.
• Develop process flow diagrams and support alarm management, controls improvements, and Smart Manufacturing initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemical Engineering.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience.
• Strong written and oral communication, computational, data analysis, IT, problem-solving, negotiation, and influencing skills.
• Experience with Aspen process simulation software.
• Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment and wear required personal protective equipment.
• Ability to perform physically demanding plant duties, including climbing ladders and stairs, entering enclosed spaces, lifting up to 50 lb, and working outdoors in inclement weather.
