What you will do
- Lead the site process safety agenda, serving as the subject matter expert and technical authority for PSM practices, tools, and systems.
- Develop, review, and improve process safety policies, procedures, performance indicators, assurance activities, and improvement plans.
- Plan and facilitate PHAs, HAZOPs, LOPAs, consequence modelling, and related risk assessment activities.
- Support incident investigations, root cause evaluations, lessons learned, safeguard reviews, and corrective-action closure.
- Provide process safety guidance to Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, SHE, and project teams.
- Train, coach, and influence multidisciplinary personnel to embed process safety into daily work and project execution.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field.
- At least five years of Process Safety Management and plant work experience.
- Experience in petrochemical, chemical manufacturing, or oil and gas industries.
- Direct experience with PSM programs and the 14 elements of PSM.
- Demonstrated experience leading or supporting HAZOP, LOPA, PHA, and other risk assessment activities.
- Knowledge of process engineering assurance, barrier assurance, major-accident hazard controls, process safety software, risk assessment tools, consequence modelling, and Microsoft Office 365.
