EPC & Utility Scale Sourcing Manager

Location: In office five days a week in Orange, Connecticut, United States

Base salary: $112,500–$132,500 per year, depending on experience

What you will do

• Lead procurement and commercial activities for materials, services, EPC, and construction projects.
• Formulate and administer RFPs, RFQs, bid analyses, and risk evaluations for contracts valued up to several hundred million dollars.
• Evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, cost savings, budget, procurement policy, and total cost of ownership.
• Develop sourcing strategies for environmental, engineering, permitting, electrical equipment, and construction services.
• Negotiate, award, and administer large construction contracts and supplier agreements while reducing operational, legal, and financial risks.
• Coordinate US procurement initiatives with global teams and collaborate with legal counsel, subject-matter experts, vendors, and internal stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, engineering, business, economics, or a related field, with at least five years of applicable experience.
• At least five years of supply management experience, including RFPs, pricing and contract negotiations, supplier relationships, quality, and KPI management.
• Experience with economic evaluations for equipment and construction services, transmission projects, and electricity generation projects.
• Knowledge of supply chain methodologies and the global market for electrical equipment and materials, including negotiations with global OEMs.
• Strong Excel skills for economic evaluation, scenario analysis, data simplification, and pattern identification, plus proficiency in Word and PowerPoint.
• Ability to interpret advanced technical specifications, analyze project risks, lead cross-functional initiatives, and manage competing priorities in a complex environment.

Nice to have

• Experience in power generation, utilities, or renewable energy, including wind and solar.
• C.P.M., C.P.S.M., or equivalent certification, or progress toward certification.
• Knowledge or experience with SAP.
• Project management or project engineering experience.
