Senior Sourcing Agent (Energy)

Location: Berlin, Connecticut, United States; hybrid schedule with at least three days per week in the office, including Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Must be able to work up to five days in the office when required and travel between Massachusetts, Connecticut, and New Hampshire as necessary.

Annual salary: $111,050–$123,390, plus potential incentive.

What you will do

• Develop procurement sourcing strategies for medium- to high-value and complex requirements.
• Lead supplier evaluation, negotiation, RFP, contract implementation, and supplier qualification activities.
• Manage complex sourcing projects and negotiate agreements that reduce risk and create value.
• Monitor contract and supplier performance through KPIs and Supplier Relationship Management scorecards.
• Analyze markets, identify viable suppliers, improve the supply base, and pursue cost savings.
• Advise cross-functional business partners on procurement policies, contracting practices, and best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• At least five years of related sourcing or procurement experience.
• Experience with purchasing, contract negotiation and drafting, contract management, supplier development, and supplier qualification or certification.
• Advanced knowledge of sourcing and procurement processes, purchasing and inventory systems, and contract terms and conditions.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, negotiation, communication, influencing, project management, and leadership skills.
• Visa sponsorship is not available; applicants requiring immigration-related sponsorship will not be considered.

Nice to have

• Certified Purchasing Manager certification.
• Six Sigma, Lean, process management, or project management certification.
