Associate Category Manager (Construction and Maintenance Services)

Location: Hybrid position in Wilmington, Delaware, United States

Salary: $110,544–$172,725 annually, plus an 11% annual bonus target

What you will do

• Lead sourcing and procurement for construction services, contractor labor, maintenance, turnaround activities, and related materials.
• Develop sourcing strategies, run RFx processes, evaluate bids, and select suppliers across multiple manufacturing sites.
• Negotiate and manage contracts, pricing, commercial terms, and risk mitigation measures.
• Monitor supplier performance across safety, quality, cost, and delivery, resolving service, invoicing, and quality issues.
• Partner with operations, engineering, finance, legal, and project teams on procurement planning and execution.
• Drive savings through competitive bidding, value engineering, total cost of ownership analysis, benchmarking, and market intelligence.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, engineering, or a related field.
• At least 7 years of procurement experience, including 3 or more years supporting construction, facilities, maintenance, or capital project categories.
• Experience sourcing contractors, engineering services, or EPC providers.
• Knowledge of construction contracts and commercial terms.
• Immigration sponsorship, including H-1B, F-1 OPT, TN, or other non-immigrant status sponsorship, is not available.
• Employment is subject to United States work authorization requirements, including E-Verify.

Nice to have

• Experience in manufacturing, chemical industry, site-based operations, capital projects, or facility operations.
• Knowledge of construction contract terms such as indemnity, liability, and change orders.
• Professional certification such as CPSM or CIPS.
