Software Engineer II (Salesforce)

Location: Hartford, Connecticut, United States

Annual base salary: $120,400–$198,700, plus eligibility for performance-based cash incentive awards.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and implement Salesforce solutions for Personal Insurance digital transformation initiatives.
• Write clean, maintainable code according to Salesforce development standards and best practices.
• Build and maintain API-based integrations between Salesforce and enterprise systems.
• Collaborate with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that improve customer experience.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, quality assurance, troubleshooting, and technical documentation.
• Keep current with Salesforce platform updates and emerging technologies.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of hands-on software development experience with enterprise applications.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, a related STEM field, or equivalent education and work experience.
• Production-quality coding experience in an object-oriented language such as Java, C#, Python, or JavaScript.
• Experience designing RESTful APIs and integrating systems through web services.
• Experience working across the full software development lifecycle and in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Experience with version control systems, modern development practices, and adapting to new technologies.

Nice to have

• Salesforce development experience with Apex, Lightning Web Components, or Salesforce APIs.
