Salesforce Engineer

Location: Remote, with required travel as needed to the Arlington, Virginia office for organizational meetings, trainings, and retreats.

Salary: $102,000–$112,000 per year, commensurate with experience.

What you will do

• Own the Salesforce platform supporting membership, credentialing, communications, and member services.
• Manage users, permissions, licenses, objects, fields, page layouts, record types, Lightning App pages, and declarative automation.
• Build reports and dashboards, maintain data quality, and prioritize support and enhancement requests.
• Develop and maintain Apex triggers, classes, batch and scheduled jobs, Lightning Web Components, and Experience Cloud member portal experiences.
• Support REST and SOAP integrations with Absorb LMS, Stripe, Blackthorn, Marketing Cloud, and Pendo.
• Coordinate deployments, sandbox refreshes, UAT, defect triage, post-launch stabilization, documentation, and collaboration with the external implementation partner.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on Salesforce administration and development experience.
• Salesforce Administrator, Platform App Builder, and Platform Developer I certifications.
• Strong knowledge of Salesforce security, including profiles, permission sets, sharing rules, and organization-wide defaults.
• Working proficiency in Apex, SOQL/SOSL, Lightning Web Components, Flow, Experience Cloud, Service Cloud, or Marketing Cloud.
• Experience with Salesforce DX, Git, CI/CD, API integrations, and external implementation partners.
• Strong communication, project management, stakeholder management, and commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, accessibility, and belonging.

Nice to have

• Salesforce Platform Developer II certification.
• Experience with credentialing or certification systems, renewals, application flows, and membership data models.
• Experience with Salesforce deduplication and data quality tools.
• Familiarity with Agile or Scrum delivery.
