Staff Salesforce Engineer (Salesforce)

Location: Denver, Colorado, United States; hybrid with three days in the office on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Candidates must live in the United States. Relocation to Denver is supported with a relocation bonus.

Base compensation: $164,000–$190,000 per year, plus equity.

What you will do

• Set the technical direction, architecture, and engineering standards for the Salesforce platform.
• Own integration architecture between Salesforce and distributed, event-driven services.
• Define development, deployment, code review, testing, reliability, and performance practices.
• Partner with product, engineering, architecture, and revenue stakeholders to translate technical risk and cost into actionable decisions.
• Simplify complex inherited systems and improve the platform's long-term maintainability.
• Mentor Salesforce engineers and raise the technical bar across teams.

Requirements

• Must live in the United States and be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
• 8+ years of Salesforce engineering experience, including technical leadership across multiple teams.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Deep experience with Apex, Lightning Web Components, Lightning architecture, and the Salesforce data model.
• Hands-on experience with Java, Python, Go, or Node.js outside Salesforce.
• Experience with event-driven architecture, REST and SOAP APIs, Salesforce Platform Events, Change Data Capture, CPQ, Salesforce deployment tooling, and Git.

Nice to have

• Salesforce certifications.
• Experience integrating Salesforce with systems that contain their own business logic and act as sources of truth.
• Experience setting engineering standards across teams that include contractors or staff augmentation.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development and the judgment to apply it effectively.
