Software Engineer II - Engineering (Python)

Location: Remote within the United States, limited to states where hirify.global or one of its subsidiaries has an established physical presence

Salary: $96,300–$154,400 annually, plus eligibility for up to 10% annual incentive compensation

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, and maintain new software and internal platforms from the ground up.
• Define architecture, technical patterns, and engineering practices while integrating with or extracting capabilities from legacy applications.
• Develop backend services primarily with Python and Flask, using AWS services including Lambda, Cognito, SNS, SQS, and DynamoDB.
• Maintain deployment pipelines, CI/CD processes, and infrastructure using OpenTofu and Terraform.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, Product Owners, the Tech Lead, and Engineering Manager on roadmap delivery, risk identification, and technical decisions in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Participate in code reviews, establish engineering standards, and mentor junior developers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of software engineering experience and deep Python knowledge; Flask experience is preferred.
• Experience with AWS, particularly Lambda, Cognito, SNS, SQS, and DynamoDB.
• At least 2 years of Salesforce experience and 3 or more years maintaining deployment pipelines and CI/CD processes.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as OpenTofu and Terraform, modern software development practices, testing, documentation, and code quality.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum, roadmap or backlog delivery, stakeholder communication, technical leadership collaboration, and mentoring.

Nice to have

• Experience in financial services or lending.
• AWS certification.
• Interest in progressing from a senior engineering role toward technical leadership.
