Maintenance Operator (Facilities)

Location: Huntsville, Alabama, USA; onsite facility role

Base pay: $22.81–$26.93 per hour

What you will do

• Provide general facilities support, including building and grounds repair, upkeep, painting, wall patching, carpentry, sheetrock, and masonry repairs.
• Perform plumbing tasks such as changing faucets and servicing toilets, and support electricians with wire pulling, conduit bending, and light bulb replacement.
• Complete scheduled facility preventive maintenance and repair doors, dock doors, dock plates, hoists, and related equipment.
• Handle office moves, conference room setups, industrial cleaning, ride-on floor scrubbing, and general plant appearance.
• Coordinate with landscape contractors, facilities contractors, and temporary contract labor when requested.
• Follow work orders, environmental requirements, health and safety rules, and complete special projects.

Requirements

• Experience operating forklifts, scissor lifts, and boom lifts.
• 3–5 years of maintenance or facilities experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work independently.
• Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.; visa sponsorship is not provided.
• Must follow safety procedures and use required protective equipment when working with hazardous materials, chemicals, and in confined spaces.
• Former employees must be eligible for rehire; current employees must be in good standing.
