Facilities Maintenance Technician

Location: San Carlos, California, United States; on-site
Shift: Monday–Friday, day shift

What you will do

• Maintain the San Carlos facility, including equipment, systems, workspaces, and general functionality.
• Perform routine repairs and preventive maintenance involving plumbing, carpentry, and basic electrical systems.
• Complete minor repairs such as fixing leaks, patching drywall, and replacing ballasts, switches, outlets, and light fixtures.
• Conduct facility walkthroughs and safety inspections to identify issues early.
• Log completed work, track parts and supplies, and coordinate with vendors or contractors when work is outside scope.
• Keep the facility clean, organized, safe, and operational.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in facilities maintenance or a related trade, including hands-on plumbing and carpentry.
• Ability to safely perform basic electrical work, including replacing ballasts, fixtures, switches, and outlets.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and stand or walk for extended periods.
• Ownership, attention to detail, a strong safety mindset, and the ability to work independently across multiple issues.
• Ability to work on-site in San Carlos, California, Monday through Friday on the day shift.

Nice to have

• Experience in a manufacturing, laboratory, or industrial environment.
• Forklift or scissor lift certification.
• Experience with a CMMS or ticketing tool.
• Exposure to HVAC or mechanical systems beyond core MEP tasks.
