Facilities Maintenance Technician (Facilities Maintenance)

Location: Pullman, Washington, United States; onsite, Monday–Friday, 2:00 p.m.–10:30 p.m. swing shift

Salary: $23.93–$35.36 per hour; new hires generally start at $24.00 per hour, plus a $5.00-per-hour shift differential.

What you will do

• Perform preventative maintenance and facilities repairs involving electrical, HVAC, plumbing, painting, mechanical systems, doors, lighting, and small carpentry.
• Provide custodial services, furniture setups and moves, event setups, engravings, and grounds work.
• Install and repair equipment while ensuring proper care and maintenance of tools, supplies, and equipment.
• Complete stocking, ordering, and custodial-related duties accurately.
• Assist, coach, and train employees on routine and technical facilities duties.
• Promote workplace safety, environmental practices, process improvement, and waste reduction.

Requirements

• Four years of experience in commercial facility maintenance and operations.
• Experience maintaining, repairing, or installing HVAC, electrical, and/or plumbing systems.
• Ability to perform basic carpentry, painting, equipment installation, and repairs.
• Ability to operate custodial equipment and use chemicals, supplies, hand tools, and power tools.
• Ability to follow and enforce safety procedures and complete tasks independently.
• Valid driver's license and ability to lift and maneuver 40 pounds frequently, use ladders, and stand for at least eight hours.
