Location: Augusta, Maine, United States

Base salary: $149,000–$185,000 annually, dependent on experience and location.

What you will do

  • Direct real-time operating platforms, including EMS, OMS, SCADA, AMI, and other Smart Grid technologies.
  • Set strategic direction, evaluate technology solutions, and execute secure, supportable control systems roadmaps.
  • Lead development, integration, maintenance, support, and lifecycle management for electric and gas control center applications.
  • Oversee control center infrastructure, including servers, storage, databases, networks, security, and SCADA communications.
  • Direct GIS data, software, processes, and system conversions supporting utility operations.
  • Manage 100+ internal resources, 60+ external contracts, vendor negotiations, and a budget exceeding $26 million.

Requirements

  • 10 or more years of broad-based experience in technology management or related areas.
  • Prior management, supervisory, or leadership experience with geographically dispersed technical teams.
  • Strong leadership, communication, complex problem-solving, stakeholder relationship, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong understanding of control systems technologies and electric and gas network operations.
  • Working knowledge of the utility regulatory environment, including NERC CIP.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; a technical master’s degree or MBA is preferred.

  • Master’s degree in a technical field or MBA.
