Software Engineering Manager (Fullstack)

Location: Remote within the United States

Annual base salary: $175,000–$235,000, with potential discretionary bonus.

What you will do

• Lead the design, development, testing, deployment, and support of software products, applications, services, and components.
• Guide cross-functional teams in translating business and client requirements into scalable, maintainable technical solutions.
• Shape technical roadmaps and architecture decisions across frontend, middle-layer, database, cloud, integration, performance, and security concerns.
• Oversee Agile planning, backlog alignment, sprint execution, delivery metrics, production readiness, and continuous improvement.
• Serve as a technical escalation point for complex development, integration, troubleshooting, testing, and debugging efforts.
• Mentor, coach, and develop software engineers, technical leads, and delivery teams while managing priorities, commitments, and performance development.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
• At least 12 years of relevant software engineering experience, including 2 or more years in a VP-level or equivalent senior leadership role.
• Strong object-oriented design and programming knowledge, with experience building APIs, integrations, cloud-native applications, and software across multiple platforms.
• Experience with microservices, web applications, distributed or large-scale systems, security software, machine learning, information retrieval, or natural language processing.
• Experience leading Agile Scrum and DevOps-aligned teams, developing estimates, supporting delivery planning, and using tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, Jenkins, Git, or Bitbucket.
• Ability to act as a player-coach, provide hands-on technical guidance, communicate complex concepts clearly, and manage changing priorities.
