NVH & Dynamics Engineer (Acoustics/Vibration)

Location: Kohler, Wisconsin, United States; onsite initially with the potential to transition to a hybrid schedule after six months.

Salary: $98,900–$125,600 per year.

What you will do

• Own NVH and structural-dynamics test strategies, standard methods, acceptance criteria, instrumentation, and data-quality practices.
• Translate program targets and DFMEA risks into test plans and laboratory methods that replicate real-world operating conditions.
• Analyze vibration, strain, force, and acoustic data and provide engineering recommendations to program teams and management.
• Plan and direct shaker-based durability and NVH tests, including swept sine, random, field-data replication, resonance identification, and dwell testing.
• Provide technical direction and cross-training to Engineering Technicians and Analysts while supporting complex test setup and data acquisition.
• Oversee calibration, equipment uptime, fixture and method improvements, capital planning, and collaboration with analytical engineering groups and external vendors.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Acoustics, Vibration, or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in NVH, structural dynamics, vibration, fatigue/materials, and fastener/joint integrity.
• Hands-on experience with electrodynamic shakers, servo-hydraulic systems, strain-gage application, vibration and acoustic data acquisition, and specialized bench testing.
• Experience with time-, frequency-, and crank-angle-domain analysis, PSD, FFT, FRF, filtering, aliasing, sound-quality equalization, integration, and differentiation.
• Familiarity with Simcenter Testlab/3D Acoustics, Vibration Research controllers, and common data-acquisition platforms.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.
