What you will do

  • Implement and optimize advanced structural dynamics capabilities into commercial FEA software.
  • Translate automotive and aerospace requirements into robust software designs in collaboration with Product Management.
  • Apply high-level linear algebra techniques to solve complex engineering mechanics problems.
  • Develop and optimize parallel code to ensure high-performance execution on modern hardware.
  • Diagnose, debug, and resolve complex numerical and algorithmic issues within a large legacy and modern Fortran codebase.

Requirements

  • PhD in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Applied Mechanics, or Civil Engineering.
  • Proven experience implementing and debugging algorithms inside commercial-grade parallel finite element code.
  • High proficiency in C++, FORTRAN, and Python.
  • Mastery of advanced structural dynamics (transient, modal, frequency-response, and non-linear dynamic analyses).
  • Strong expertise in applied linear algebra for engineering mechanics, including sparse solvers and eigenvalue problems.
  • Strong background in debugging and optimizing parallel programming paradigms (MPI, OpenMP).

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of aeroelasticity (flutter, gust response) and rotor dynamics.
  • Knowledge of vibro-acoustics / NVH (Noise, Vibration, and Harshness) and powertrain.
  • Experience with modern software engineering practices: regression testing, profiling tools, version control, and CI/CD.
