Laboratory Technician I

Location: Onsite at the Denver, Colorado laboratory; Monday–Friday, 2:00 p.m.–10:00 p.m.

Salary: $20.00–$25.00 per hour, depending on experience, skills, and geographic location.

What you will do

• Prepare water and soil samples and assist with sample receiving.
• Clean laboratory glassware and maintain clean, organized laboratory areas.
• Maintain accurate records of sample preparation and analysis.
• Support group leaders and analysts with purchasing and inventorying consumables, chemicals, and instrument parts.
• Contribute to projects that improve the efficiency and accuracy of analyses.
• Follow the Quality Assurance Program, Health and Safety Plan, and other applicable policies.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• Knowledge of analytical methods, analytical instruments, general laboratory practices, and laboratory safety.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Good organizational and communication skills.
