Laboratory Technician I - GC/GCMS SVOA (Multiple Shifts)

Location: Tustin, California, United States; onsite. Full-time laboratory shifts are available Monday–Friday, 2:00 PM–11:00 PM; Tuesday–Saturday, 1:00 PM–10:00 PM; or Monday–Friday, 11:00 AM–8:00 PM. Initial training requires Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–6:00 PM.

Salary: $18.00–$22.00 per hour, depending on experience.

What you will do

• Prepare extracts and samples for GC/GCMS analysis, including dilutions and the addition of standards and reagents.
• Load samples onto analytical instruments and support routine laboratory analysis.
• Assist with preventive maintenance, cleaning, and replacement of consumable parts for GC and GCMS equipment.
• Document sample preparation details, observations, job status, rush estimates, sample matrix issues, and holding times.
• Perform quality control activities, including balance calibration, pipette verification, and logbook documentation.
• Maintain laboratory cleanliness, glassware, inventory, safety readiness, and turnaround-time commitments.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Professional proficiency in English for reading, writing, and speaking.
• Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, accurate recordkeeping, and ability to follow written procedures.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, including overtime and weekend coverage when needed.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds.

Nice to have

• Coursework or experience in chemistry, environmental science, biology, or a related field.
• Previous laboratory experience.
• Experience in a fast-paced production, food service, or retail environment.
