Laboratory Analyst I (Tues-Sat) (Environmental Testing)

Location: Buffalo, NY, USA; must live within a commutable distance to Buffalo

Salary: USD 18–20 per hour, plus a 5% shift differential and benefits

What you will do

• Prepare and analyze environmental samples using standard analytical techniques and EPA methodologies.
• Perform chemical analysis, calculations, data recording, and reporting of unusual test occurrences.
• Maintain routine laboratory instruments and become trained on complex systems including gas chromatography, GC/MS, atomic absorption, and ICP.
• Apply GMP/GLP, environmental health and safety, quality assurance, and standard operating procedures.
• Perform sample aliquoting and weighing, glassware washing, housekeeping, and other routine laboratory activities.
• Work under close supervision while meeting safety, quality, and time requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry or equivalent experience.
• Preferred: 1–2 years of sample preparation or analytical laboratory experience.
• Basic mathematics, computer, organization, problem-solving, communication, and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently, follow written and verbal instructions, learn laboratory protocols, and manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs frequently and up to 50 lbs occasionally; willingness to work overtime when required.
• Professional working proficiency in English and indefinite authorization to work in the United States without restriction or sponsorship are required.
