Process Engineer (Chemical Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Monitor and report process-unit performance, plant efficiency, capacity, catalyst performance, emissions, and process safety indicators.
• Evaluate process and equipment performance, troubleshoot process chemistry and industrial equipment issues, and develop solutions to reduce plant upsets.
• Optimize operations through process modeling, data analysis, process tests, and technical support for operations.
• Complete process engineering studies and support the collaborative design of new installations and processes.
• Prepare and review PFDs, P&IDs, scopes of work, and equipment specifications for capital projects.
• Support MOCs, PHAs, LOPA studies, incident investigations, turnarounds, catalyst replacements, and plant restarts.

Requirements

• BS degree in Chemical Engineering from an ABET- or IchemE-accredited university.
• At least 2 years of process engineering experience is preferred.
• Experience in an operating company within chemical manufacturing, refining, or oil and gas is required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across departments and with plant personnel.
