Technical Service & Development (TS&D) Engineer (Chemical Engineering)

Location: Houston Area, TX; remote after the initial training phase in League City, TX. Travel may reach 50% and includes domestic US and international travel.

Salary: $87,000–$125,000 per year, commensurate with experience.

hirify.global GAS/SPEC develops and supports specialty amine solutions for treating gas and liquid streams across natural gas processing, refining, LNG, ammonia, hydrogen processing, renewables, and carbon capture applications.

What you will do

• Provide direct technical consultation to 30–50 or more operating GAS/SPEC amine accounts.
• Run inquiry simulations and develop responses for new specialty amine applications.
• Support plant start-up, return to operation, and ongoing technical service.
• Troubleshoot process equipment and advise customers, engineering firms, distributors, and equipment suppliers.
• Manage a functional area such as quality, compliance, technology, or research based on business needs.
• Collaborate with commercial account managers, distributors, laboratory specialists, and other GAS/SPEC functions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemical Engineering.
• At least 5 years of experience preferred, including 1–2 years of plant or operations experience.
• Proficiency in chemical reactions, unit operations, equipment sizing, process simulation, process control, safety in design, emergency relief, and protective systems.
• Experience with process simulation tools such as ASPEN, Hysis, Protreat, or Promax.
• Fluent English required; a second language is desirable.
• Strong technical communication, problem-solving, ownership, independence, and customer-management skills.

• Experience with Protreat and Promax.
• Knowledge of an additional language.
• Previous plant or operations experience.
