Payroll Specialist (Belgium & Netherlands)

Location: Hybrid role based in Olen, Belgium; Zaandam, Netherlands; or Asturias, Spain

What you will do

• Manage payroll administration and daily payroll operations for Belgium and the Netherlands.
• Coordinate payroll inputs, processing, validations, and outputs with vendors and internal stakeholders.
• Validate payroll data, statutory calculations, social security requirements, reporting, and country-specific obligations.
• Ensure compliance with Belgian and Dutch payroll legislation, tax obligations, and local practices.
• Support payroll in manufacturing and labor environments involving collective bargaining agreements, unions, and employee representative bodies.
• Partner with HR, Finance, Legal, Total Rewards, Shared Services, and regional payroll leadership.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience supporting Belgian payroll operations.
• Strong knowledge of Belgian payroll legislation, social security requirements, statutory reporting, and local payroll obligations.
• Working knowledge of Dutch payroll practices and statutory requirements, or the ability to support Dutch payroll through vendor partnerships.
• Experience in manufacturing, unionized, or labor-intensive environments.
• Strong business English and Dutch required.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting payroll operations across both Belgium and the Netherlands.
• Experience in manufacturing, food ingredients, specialty chemicals, life sciences, or industrial environments.
• Experience with ADP, TMF, Workday, or similar payroll and HR technology platforms.
• Experience with carve-outs, business separations, mergers, acquisitions, or transformation initiatives.
• Experience with multi-country payroll models, process improvement, automation, documentation, or standardization.
