Payroll Manager MEDNA

Location: Remote; open to candidates across all hirify.global locations. The position can be performed remotely from home. It is administratively posted under the Spain / Cytiva legal entity, while the employing entity will be determined at the offer stage.

Gross annual salary: €45,950–€63,350, plus a target bonus of 10% of annual base salary.

What you will do

• Manage end-to-end payroll cycles across the MEDNA region, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant processing.
• Approve payroll-related payments where applicable and conduct audits of payroll amounts and processes.
• Prepare internal and external audit documentation and monitor payroll risks and compliance with labor laws and tax requirements.
• Lead payroll team performance, capacity planning, development, PTO scheduling, and hiring decisions.
• Maintain payroll process documentation, support system enhancements, and troubleshoot issues with HRIS and IT teams.
• Partner with HR and Finance on payroll reporting, data analysis, KPIs, and process improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Human Resources, or 7–9 years of related payroll experience.
• 3–5 years of experience processing and managing complex EMEA payrolls, including tax, compliance, and labor-law requirements.
• Proven leadership and team management experience, including leading change and implementing new processes or standards.
• CPP certification.
• Strategic approach to resolving payroll issues while considering timing and tax implications.
• Fluent English is required; additional European languages are a plus.

• Vendor relationship management experience.
