Sr. Director - NC Warehouse Operations

Location: USA – North Carolina – Durham – National Way; onsite warehouse operations with travel of up to 25%.

What you will do

• Provide strategic leadership for warehouse operations, inventory, material flow, logistics, distribution, storage, and material management across the North Carolina network.
• Lead multi-site warehouse operations leaders and staff, developing a culture of safety, accountability, employee engagement, and continuous improvement.
• Own operational performance, including safety, compliance, inventory accuracy, quality, service levels, productivity, costs, and KPIs.
• Establish governance, policies, financial controls, material traceability, audit readiness, and regulatory compliance for warehouse and inventory operations.
• Lead capacity planning, network optimization, labor strategy, operational readiness, business continuity, transportation, carrier management, third-party logistics, and cold-chain activities.
• Sponsor SAP, WMS/EWM, automation, analytics, data-integrity, process-standardization, and broader digital-transformation initiatives while partnering with cross-functional stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, operations, engineering, logistics, life sciences, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered. An advanced degree is preferred.
• 12+ years of progressive supply chain, warehouse operations, logistics, or materials-management experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, life sciences, or another regulated manufacturing environment.
• 5+ years of leadership experience managing managers and/or directors, including multi-site operations and organizational development.
• Experience leading warehouse, inventory, material-flow, transportation, distribution, and logistics functions in GMP-regulated environments.
• Strong knowledge of GMP, GDP, inventory control, material traceability, warehouse compliance, regulatory inspection readiness, budgets, capital planning, KPIs, and cost optimization.
• Significant experience with SAP, WMS/EWM, inventory systems, automation, digital transformation, and large-scale operational or organizational change initiatives.
