Project Manager - Rail Engineering

Location: Hybrid role in Seattle, Washington, United States

Salary: $172,000–$240,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead project teams and coordinate resources across engineering, design, field, operations, and client groups.
• Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, quality, delivery commitments, and documentation.
• Monitor performance, identify risks, and implement corrective actions.
• Support contract compliance, invoicing, change management, amendments, change orders, and project closeout.
• Track project financial performance through budget monitoring, earned value, forecasting, invoice review, and profitability management.
• Support proposals, fee estimates, client interviews, relationship development, project meetings, and presentations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET/EAC-accredited program.
• 10+ years of prior experience.
• Advanced oral and written communication skills.
• Experience with contract management and negotiation of critical issues.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and electronic communications.
• Professional Engineer certification or equivalent is required as an additional qualification.

• Master’s degree or equivalent.

• Membership or leadership in a professional practice organization, national board, or technical or policy committee.
