Senior Project Manager / Professional Engineer, Transportation - Transit & Commuter / Freight Rail

Location: Seattle, Washington; hybrid schedule with in-office work Tuesday–Thursday and work-from-home on Monday and Friday. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.

Salary: $160,000–$230,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead complex railroad and rail transit projects involving transit infrastructure, stations, maintenance facilities, electrical facilities, and operations facilities.
• Manage project budgets, schedules, deliverables, drawings, specifications, cost estimates, and engineering documentation.
• Coordinate structural, civil, mechanical, electrical, and architectural disciplines and maintain direct client relationships.
• Support field investigations, site assessments, design coordination, RFIs, contractor submittals, as-built records, and field inspections.
• Direct and mentor junior engineers and project coordinators while providing technical guidance.
• Contribute to proposal preparation, client relationship development, and marketing initiatives for the Seattle Transit and Rail practice.

Requirements

• 15+ years of experience leading large, multidisciplinary projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline, plus experience in transit, rail, or transportation infrastructure projects.
• Professional Engineering license in Washington State.
• Strong knowledge of railroad and rail transit industry codes, standards, design development, specifications, and quality assurance.
• Demonstrated project management, multidisciplinary leadership, mentoring, business development, and client relationship management experience.
• United States work authorization is required; visa sponsorship is not available.
