Group Leader, Facilities Maintenance (Manufacturing)

Location: Huntsville, United States; on-site facility maintenance role with availability for weekends, holidays, shutdowns, and domestic or international travel as needed

Hiring range: $95,650.21–$122,440.36 annual salary, plus a yearly discretionary bonus.

What you will do

• Lead, supervise, coach, and develop facilities maintenance team members and contractors while promoting safe, efficient, high-quality work.
• Drive continuous improvement, kaizen, Quality Circle, and root-cause-analysis initiatives for facility and equipment reliability, safety, productivity, and cost.
• Plan and standardize preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance, including master maintenance plans, contingency plans, best practices, and five-year roadmaps.
• Troubleshoot and repair industrial HVAC, air compressor systems, medium-voltage electrical switchgear, industrial water supply, lighting, and process wastewater systems.
• Track maintenance KPIs, analyze Mazda and Toyota facility data, investigate issues with advisors, and implement countermeasures.
• Support energy management, maintenance cost reduction, skilled workforce planning, and training programs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Leadership experience or demonstrated internal leadership experience, including team, project, or cross-functional team management.
• Experience in plant facilities maintenance or industrial maintenance.
• Effective internal and external communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work outside normal schedules and travel when required.

Nice to have

• At least two years of facilities maintenance leadership experience.
• Technical degree or certificate in mechanical, electrical, electronic, or mechatronics disciplines, or equivalent manufacturing experience.
• Experience coordinating facility operations and maintenance, cost performance, planning, target-setting, and manufacturing processes.
• Maintenance or production engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Direct supervision experience with highly motivated teams.
