Risk Analyst (Fintech)

What you will do

• Run day-to-day privacy operations, including triaging queries, coordinating data subject rights requests, and tracking statutory deadlines.
• Log privacy incidents and near misses, gather facts, and follow remediation actions through to closure.
• Maintain privacy registers and records, including the incident register, Record of Processing Activities, and DPIA register.
• Coordinate outsourced privacy consultants, track their deliverables, and ensure advice is recorded and followed through.
• Support audits, client assurance requests, privacy reporting, and reviews of notices, policies, procedures, retention, and training.
• Coordinate governance meetings, agendas, minutes, action logs, documentation, reporting packs, onboarding, and process improvements.

Requirements

• Genuine interest in data protection and privacy; training will be provided.
• Degree in law, risk management, business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience in privacy, risk, compliance, legal, audit, operations, or administration.
• Awareness of UK GDPR concepts, including personal data, lawful basis, data subject rights, and personal data breaches, or the ability to learn them quickly.
• Strong organisation, analytical ability, attention to detail, judgement, discretion, and written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple cases and workstreams, collaborate across teams, and meet deadlines independently.

Nice to have

• Progress toward a privacy or compliance qualification such as IAPP CIPP/E or the Practitioner Certificate in Data Protection.
• Financial services, pensions, or fintech experience.
