Senior Manager, Risk Management (Fintech)

Location: Hybrid, London, United Kingdom; at least 3 days per week in the London, Paddington office

What you will do

• Provide risk management oversight and second-line controls assurance across hirify.global Direct, including hirify.global Payments Limited, The Currency Cloud Limited, B2B Connect, VGSI, and YellowPepper.
• Advise senior management and business leaders on strategic, financial, operational, ecosystem, legal, compliance, credit, and technology risks.
• Establish and oversee risk monitoring, testing, reporting, Key Risk Indicators, and analytics.
• Evaluate emerging risks, develop mitigation strategies, and support implementation of hirify.global’s enterprise risk management policy.
• Strengthen risk culture, first-line risk and control frameworks, and assurance against industry standards such as ISO 27001.
• Manage relationships with internal stakeholders, regulators, auditors, professional assessors, and entity Boards; review regulatory communications and provide assurance on key deliverables.

Requirements

• Extensive demonstrable experience in risk management.
• Strong understanding of the payments industry, financial services, payment products, services, and relevant regulations.
• Experience identifying, assessing, managing, and reporting different types of risk, including financial, compliance, technology, operational, and credit risks.
• Degree-level education or equivalent professional experience in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
• Experience working with regulators and collaborating cross-functionally with senior leadership.
• Strong technical, data analysis, communication, management, business acumen, and problem-solving skills; proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
