EHS Manager

Location: South Plainfield, New Jersey, United States. Onsite schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.

Salary: $97,000–$121,000 per year

What you will do

• Manage the site and company-wide health and safety program in accordance with applicable EHS and OSHA regulations.
• Develop, maintain, revise, and communicate EHS policies, procedures, and documentation.
• Provide guidance on the safe use and disposal of chemicals, hazardous materials, and equipment.
• Identify EHS hazards and recommend sustainable corrective actions.
• Advise personnel on applicable standards, regulations, guidelines, processes, and permits.
• Support quality-system EHS activities, employee training, data reporting, and security initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or Occupational Safety.
• 3–5 years of experience in an EHS or OSHA-compliance role.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, self-motivation, and willingness to learn.

Nice to have

• OSHA 10- or 30-hour certification.
• Experience with hazard recognition training.
