Location: Norwood, Massachusetts, United States; hybrid 70/30 work model with 70% in-office collaboration. Only U.S. persons are eligible due to U.S. export control requirements, and visa sponsorship is not available.
Salary: $130,800–$209,400 per year, with potential eligibility for a discretionary bonus, incentive compensation, or equity award.

What you will do
- Assess and manage EHS risks across biopharmaceutical manufacturing, R&D, laboratories, facilities, technical development, logistics, and enabling functions.
- Develop and improve EHS standards, SOPs, work practices, inspection criteria, and high-risk work programs covering permit-to-work, job hazard analysis, lockout/tagout, confined spaces, hot work, fall protection, flammable materials, and SIF prevention.
- Lead complex root-cause investigations, event reviews, audit responses, and sustainable CAPA implementation.
- Provide EHS leadership for management of change and capital project reviews affecting infrastructure, manufacturing, R&D, laboratories, and analytical capabilities.
- Lead environmental compliance and sustainability programs covering air emissions, wastewater, stormwater, hazardous waste, and permitting.
- Use EHS data, dashboards, analytics, digital tools, and AI-enabled approaches to identify trends, prioritize risks, improve execution, and support proactive decision-making.
Requirements
- BS degree and 7–10 years of progressive EHS experience in biopharmaceutical manufacturing, R&D, laboratory, or similarly regulated technical environments.
- Advanced knowledge of EHS laws, regulations, compliance obligations, risk assessment, inspections, RCA, CAPA, and management of change; Massachusetts regulatory experience is highly desirable.
- Experience deploying or supporting ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems and integrating them into procedures, audits, governance, and improvement routines.
- Technical competence with laboratory operations, analytical equipment, manufacturing support processes, utilities, facilities infrastructure, and biopharmaceutical operations.
- Ability to influence senior stakeholders, lead complex cross-functional programs with limited guidance, and mentor EHS professionals and functional partners.
- Must qualify as a U.S. person under U.S. export control laws; non-U.S. persons cannot be sponsored for an export control license.
