Specialist, Budget and Forecasting (Automotive Manufacturing)

Annual salary: $106,645.76–$136,515.59, plus a yearly discretionary bonus.

Automotive manufacturing organization producing Mazda and Toyota vehicles and supporting the North Alabama community.

What you will do

• Lead annual, quarterly, and monthly budgeting and forecasting cycles.
• Establish standardized budget systems, templates, schedules, manuals, and operating procedures for all shops.
• Train executives and managers on budgeting processes and coordinate communication about process changes.
• Produce and update weekly leadership reports for the A&F OMDS Board.
• Collaborate with Mazda and Toyota team members in Japan and coordinate resolution of budget issues.
• Support accounting and finance operations, including policy development, month-end close activities, and continuous improvement through Kaizen.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Project management experience involving budgeting or forecasting, and/or manufacturing experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and major ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, or PeopleSoft Financials.
• Strong communication skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work outside typical business hours and travel domestically and internationally as needed.

Nice to have

• BS in Accounting or a related business field.
• Three years of experience.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and Power BI skills.
• Knowledge of accounting regulations.
