Service Manager (Automotive)

Pay range: $20.60–$30.90 per hour

What you will do

• Manage customer relationships, inquiries, feedback, issue resolution, and follow-up.
• Assign and schedule work according to technician skill levels.
• Lead, coach, train, and supervise automotive service staff.
• Oversee hiring, technician selection, retention, and compliance with quality standards.
• Manage paperwork, customer interactions, financial transactions, inventory, equipment, and store policies.
• Support vehicle inspections, product and service sales, and communication between the front and back of the shop.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Four years of automotive service technical experience.
• One year of service manager or service writer experience.
• Problem-solving ability, including handling customer complaints and managing inventory, scheduling, and equipment maintenance.
• Ability to lead, coach, recruit, and select technicians, with strong teammate and customer communication skills.
• Valid automotive driver's license required at all times for customer vehicle test drives; employment eligibility verification is required, and sponsorship needs may disqualify candidates.
