Yard Supervisor (Automotive)

Salary: $52,800–$66,060 per year

What you will do

• Supervise a large team and monitor performance, training, hiring, reviews, compensation recommendations, and disciplinary actions.
• Maintain lot inventory, vehicles, parts, fencing, infrastructure, and facility presentation.
• Prepare and preserve vehicles for auctions through cleaning, detailing, steam cleaning, and shrink wrapping.
• Enforce safety policies, training compliance, personal protective equipment use, and hazardous-material handling procedures.
• Respond to customer inquiries about vehicle condition, damage, belongings, and lot locations.
• Work indoors and outdoors year-round, operate around heavy equipment, and travel up to 10% of the time.

Requirements

• Basic automotive repair and general mechanical knowledge of vehicles.
• Experience supervising employees and communicating effectively with teams and customers.
• Proficiency with handheld PDAs.
• Basic ability to operate a forklift or loader.
• Ability to stoop, bend, stand, walk, and climb on and off large equipment and trucks.
• Must be legally entitled to work in the United States.
