Cloud Infrastructure Engineer (VDI)

Location: Madrid, Spain; hybrid work model with office and remote work.

Salary: €42,000–€70,000 gross per year base salary; €46,000–€77,000 total on-target earnings including annual performance bonus.

What you will do

• Build and evolve virtualization environments across major VDI and cloud desktop platforms.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning, desktop delivery, image creation, and image pipelines.
• Operate cloud and on-premises environments, including networking, identity, and monitoring.
• Evaluate and integrate emerging endpoint technologies from proof of concept through supported platform.
• Collaborate with product managers, engineering teams, and technology partners to validate new platform coverage.
• Provide technical guidance on virtualization platform behavior and constraints.

Requirements

• BSc/BEng or master's degree in computer science, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of professional cloud infrastructure experience.
• Hands-on experience with at least one major VDI/EUC platform, such as Citrix CVAD, Omnissa Horizon, Microsoft AVD, Windows 365, or Amazon WorkSpaces.
• Strong Windows Server and hybrid identity experience with Active Directory and Entra ID.
• Experience with infrastructure automation using Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell, or comparable tools.
• Ability to explain technical concepts and design trade-offs clearly to product and engineering stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience with additional VDI platforms, brokers, gateways, hypervisors, or golden image lifecycle management.
• Knowledge of virtual desktop networking, VLANs, firewalls, TLS, and site-to-site VPNs to AWS or Azure.
• Experience with CI/CD and image pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or Packer.
• Knowledge of secure administration, endpoint management, or synthetic testing and benchmarking.
