Senior Infrastructure & Cloud Engineer (AWS)

Location: Based in Madrid, with frequent travel to France; home office friendly anywhere in Spain

Total compensation: €65,000–€75,000 annually, including base and variable compensation

What you will do

• Design, deploy, and operate secure, scalable, and resilient infrastructure across AWS and on-premise datacenters.
• Lead hybrid cloud architecture, secure cloud-to-datacenter connectivity, workload migrations, and modernization initiatives.
• Manage AWS services, Linux and Windows platforms, virtualization, enterprise storage, backup, replication, and disaster recovery.
• Implement infrastructure as code, automation, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, governance, and operational tooling.
• Collaborate with Platform Engineering, Security, DevOps, and Software Engineering teams on architecture, compliance, reliability, and cost optimization.
• Lead technical initiatives, participate in architectural reviews, mentor engineers, and maintain technical documentation in English and French.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in infrastructure, systems, or cloud engineering, including 3+ years working with production AWS environments.
• Professional working proficiency in English at C1 or higher and French at C1 or higher.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services, hybrid cloud architectures, networking, IAM, containers, serverless technologies, Terraform, and CloudFormation.
• Strong administration experience with Linux, Windows Server, VMware, Hyper-V or KVM, networking, storage, NetApp, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and LDAP.
• Experience with Python, Bash or PowerShell, CI/CD platforms, configuration management, Git, monitoring, observability, security controls, and compliance frameworks.
• Previous senior-level experience leading technical initiatives, mentoring engineers, and working with international stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience with Azure or GCP, advanced Kubernetes, Istio or Linkerd, FinOps, ITIL, or large-scale global infrastructures.
• AWS Solutions Architect, AWS SysOps Administrator, or AWS DevOps Engineer certification.
