Manager, Virtualization & Digital Workspace Platforms (Azure/Citrix)

Location: Hybrid in Richmond, Virginia, or Lynchburg, Virginia. In-office days are Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with core working hours targeting 9am–5pm EST.

Salary: $120,900–$187,000 national range, plus eligibility for a performance-based bonus incentive plan.

What you will do

• Lead, mentor, and develop a small team of virtualization and cloud engineers.
• Own the strategy, roadmap, lifecycle management, and operational support for virtual desktop and application delivery platforms.
• Administer and optimize Citrix Cloud, Citrix DaaS, Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, Azure-hosted VDI, and related end-user computing technologies.
• Ensure platform availability, performance, scalability, resiliency, disaster recovery, and business continuity.
• Lead incident response, root cause analysis, problem management, and complex technical escalations.
• Manage Azure infrastructure, automation, vendors, licensing, support contracts, and cloud cost optimization initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 7+ years of experience supporting enterprise virtualization and cloud technologies.
• 3+ years of experience leading technical teams, projects, or infrastructure operations.
• Strong experience with Citrix Cloud, Citrix DaaS, Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, XenApp and/or XenDesktop, Microsoft Azure, Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, and application virtualization.
• Experience operating highly available, mission-critical infrastructure and strong troubleshooting, performance tuning, and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams, influence stakeholders, communicate effectively, and drive strategic initiatives.
