Career Coach (Evergreen)

What you will do

• Provide individualized and group career coaching, employment advising, and career assessment support to undergraduate and graduate students and alumnae.
• Help students create career development portfolios, career plans, post-graduate succession plans, and employment strategies.
• Support students in securing and maintaining internships, mentors, and employment, including initial job coaching after placement.
• Conduct career planning and employability classes, workshops, seminars, and career-related events.
• Coordinate with internship staff, faculty, advisors, financial counselors, employers, and alumni services to connect students with experiential learning and employment opportunities.
• Maintain employment records and prepare reports on employment outcomes, knowledge rates, and workforce trends.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in social science, psychology, social work, sociology, education, human resources, communication, public relations, marketing, business, healthcare, or a related field.
• At least two years of related experience in workforce development, career services, human resources, college relations, marketing, job placement services, or higher education.
• Knowledge of career coaching, career assessment software, student development theories, career planning, job-search techniques, and employment readiness processes.
• Strong verbal, written, interpersonal, organizational, and presentation skills, with the ability to multitask and work cooperatively.
• Ability to develop and deliver workshops, research employer recruiting strategies and job-market trends, and use technology to provide career services.
• Employment is subject to a criminal history investigation and verification of credentials. The role may require lifting at least 35 pounds.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree.
• Additional case management experience.
• Licensing in counseling, career development, or career coaching.
