What you will do

• Lead, mentor, and coordinate the financial counseling and outreach team.
• Provide personalized guidance on FAFSA completion, documentation, verification, bills, refunds, and financial aid renewal.
• Investigate and resolve complex student financial aid concerns and complaints.
• Develop and deliver outreach programs, Financial Aid 101 workshops, financial literacy trainings, and high school financial aid events.
• Coordinate programming with Academic Advising, Career Services, the Center for Student Success, and other campus partners.
• Develop policies, procedures, communication materials, financial literacy content, and a non-credit course; assess program outcomes and prepare reports.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Seven years of related experience.
• Knowledge of student financial aid processes and applicable federal and state regulations.
• Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.
• Strong oral and written communication, organizational, multitasking, collaboration, leadership, and complex problem-solving skills.
• Employment may be affected if immigration sponsorship is required; the university will not pay the $100,000 H-1B fee, and Texas’s H-1B filing moratorium may affect eligibility.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Higher Education or a related field.
• Higher education experience, including exposure to admissions and financial aid.
