Director, Career Development Center (Higher Education)

Location: Victoria, Texas, United States; onsite

Salary: Starting at $5,000 per month, negotiable based on education and experience

What you will do

• Lead career development, career counseling, experiential learning, employment preparation, and student employment services.
• Partner with academic deans, chairs, and faculty to align career pathways, internships, and professional development with academic programs and workforce needs.
• Provide career counseling, assessments, workshops, and individualized coaching for students and alumni.
• Build internship, experiential learning, employer partnership, networking, and job development opportunities.
• Coordinate career fairs, employer recruitment, on-campus interviews, student employment, and potential placement activities.
• Assess program outcomes, manage budgets and resources, supervise staff, and strengthen services through data.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Counseling, Business, Higher Education, or a related area is required.
• Six years of related experience is required.
• Experience advising college students is relevant to the role.
• Ability to manage programs, budgets, partnerships, and staff in a university setting.
• Employment is based onsite in Victoria, Texas.
• Employment is contingent on credential verification and completion of a criminal history investigation.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Counseling, Business, Higher Education, or a related area.
• Familiarity with Handshake, EAB Navigate, and Slate.
