What you will do
- Process student conduct cases, conduct intake meetings and investigations, facilitate administrative hearings, and apply developmental sanctions.
- Draft outcome letters, maintain confidential conduct records, and prepare documentation for appeals.
- Coordinate case management for students experiencing personal, medical, mental health, academic, or life crises.
- Conduct outreach and needs assessments, coordinate referrals, and provide ongoing follow-up through academic flexibility, absences, hospitalizations, and return-to-campus processes.
- Participate in the Behavioral Intervention or Threat Assessment Team and monitor follow-up after CARE interventions.
- Support conduct education, faculty and staff training, and prevention initiatives addressing student concerns and crisis escalation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in higher education administration, student affairs, counseling, social work, psychology, or a related field.
- Three years of professional experience in student conduct, case management, student support services, or a closely related area.
- Knowledge of student conduct processes, FERPA, and due process principles.
- Experience working with students experiencing crisis, distress, or complex personal circumstances.
- Strong organizational, communication, documentation, ethical decision-making, and collaborative problem-solving skills.
- Work is based onsite in Kingsville, Texas, and may include work beyond normal office hours or on weekends.
Nice to have
- Master’s degree in higher education administration, student affairs, counseling, social work, or a related field.
- Experience serving on a Behavioral Intervention or threat assessment team.
- Experience supporting first-generation, rural, or underserved student populations.
- Familiarity with conduct management and case tracking software.
